THE RIGHT WAY TO WAKE UP

These following tips you have probably already heard and stored it in the very back corner of your mind, but this is your reminder to start implementing them because they work and they should become a daily habit. After all, by stacking little habits we end up having amazing days and creating an amazing person we are proud of!

Three tips to start your day:

  1. Get moving! 30min workout will give you more and better energy than snoozing for an extra hour. Think about it. Exercising boosts oxygen circulation inside your body. This increase in oxygen not only supports the mitochondria’s energy production but it also allows your body to function better and use energy more efficiently.
  2. It doesn’t have to be an intense workout session, a brisk walk or a quick bike ride can do the trick! How about a 5-minute skipping rope to your favourite playlist?
  3. Internal Language. How you think and talk to yourself matters more than any other conversation you might have, even if it is with Oprah herself! If you open your eyes and the first thing you think in the morning is how tired you feel, you have already predetermined the rest of your day. Be mindful of your thoughts. Try starting the day with 3 main things you are grateful for and fil your cup with positive energy.
  4. Focus. This is a big one. We all have goals, and things we want to achieve. Whether our reasons are financial, emotional or physical goals. Focus on the layering of one brick at a time rather than being overwhelmed with the final goal.

Would a published author make this decision or is this more of a hobby writer’s decision? Choose who you want to be and live by it. Make a journal and write how your best version would need, be and act in the different aspects of your life: work, relationships, self-journey.

Personal Tip! Nourish your skin. More than looking good, having a good skin care routine means you are putting yourself first not just today but your future self. Your skin is the biggest organ in your body and it is also the last organ to receive nutrients. Therefore, it is a personal commitment you chose everyday and the results will speak for themselves. Do your research but also listen to your body. After all, no one can tell you what’s best for your body than its own.

Remember YOU take on your day. Do not let the day take you.
